The striker headed to the Corinthians education court to say goodbye after his signing for Botafogo was shown on Tuesday.
Emerson Sheik will register for botafogo on loan until the end of the year.
The 35-year-old was not on Mano Menezes’ plans for the Sao Paulo club and decided to move to Rio de Janeiro in the hope of having more opportunities in the first team.
Following Sheik’s departure, Corinthians congratulated the striker on his website, thanking him for his 23-in-138 match contribution to Timo.
He won five titles in his time at Corinthians, adding the Copa Libertadores.
