Chelsea’s new boss Enzo Maresca will spend the offseason revisiting his new team’s old games.
Maresca was officially announced on Monday as Chelsea’s new head coach, with the 44-year-old replacing Mauricio Pochettino. The Blues shelled out around £8m to terminate his contract with Leicester after bringing the Foxes back to the Premier League last season.
Maresca is not expected to officially start racing at Chelsea until July 1 and lately he is on holiday in Marbella. However, he is already making plans for pre-season, with the Daily Mail reporting that he is reviewing Chelsea’s matches with Pochettino.
The report says Maresca also asked Chelsea’s knowledge team to provide them with a detailed investigation of the player’s functionality at the club. “Joining Chelsea, one of the biggest clubs in the world, is a dream for any coach,” he said.

Former Chelsea goalkeeper Willy Caballero Maresca was an assistant at Leicester and followed him to Stamford Bridge, along with coaches Danny Walker and Roberto Vitiello, goalkeeping coach Michele De Bernardin, fitness coach Marcos Alvarez and analyst Javier Molina Caballero.
Ben Roberts, who followed Graham Potter from Brighton to Chelsea in 2022, will remain in Maresca’s squad as goalkeeping coach. Meanwhile, Bernardo Cueva joined Brentford as a specialist in set pieces.
