Eric DeCosta: It would be silly to review to enlarge Mark Andrews’ contract

Quarterback Lamar Jackson made headlines, but he’s not the only Ravens player to signal a contract extension this off-season.

The Ravens decided on the closed final Mark Andrews and boarded the Orlando Brown in the third circular of the 2018 NFL Draft after adding Jackson to the first circular. Both Ravens and general manager Eric DeCosta discussed their long term at a news convention on Monday.

“Mark Andrews, in my opinion, is one of the most productive TEs in the NFL,” said DeCosta, Jeff Zrebiec of TheAthletic. com. “It would be stupid if we didn’t retreat to stay with him. These discussions will start at some point. “

DeCosta said he also sought to stay with Brown, however, there are a limited amount of resources available and this can lead DeCosta to make possible difficult options in the future.

I love Andrews and in 2019 it looked like it could be Gronk on the road, but that doesn’t happen. He disappeared in too many games last season and continues to throw too many passes. I need you to quit, but not for a giant, sum of cash It’s just not the most sensible cash value YOU right now.

Does DeCosta seek to convince himself or others of the quality of his players?Andrews is fifth among TEs for receiving yards and receptions (54 of all receivers). If George Kittle had played, so would he. I guess that means Mike Gesicki (MIA) and T. J. Hockenson (DET) is also one of the most productive as he is Andrews’ forward.

Go ahead, point to all your average players for the big extensions. Good luck watching the house playoffs every year.
