Tottenham may lose star Son Heung-min to Real Madrid, but they already have their eyes set on his successor, Man Utd are keen to strike a deal for an exciting RB Leipzig striker, while Man City are willing to spend big on a midfielder worth €100 million.
Tottenham will face a war to keep Son Heung-min in 2024 as Real Madrid prepare a devastating foray to keep him away from Ange Postecoglou’s side.
The South Korean striker is a fan favorite in N7, having scored 150 goals in his 379 games since joining from Bayer Leevrkusen in 2015. With Harry Kane’s departure in the summer, Postecoglou has propelled Son into a more central striker role for Spurs. – and the player responded brilliantly, scoring five goals in seven games.
However, his contract with Tottenham is set to expire in the summer of 2025 and there are fears that Son may be tempted to take on one last challenge in his career.
The striker enjoys long-standing admiration from Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and reports in Spain claim that it is Real Madrid who are making plans for a successful move for the striker in 2024.
And while a January resolution is unlikely, Los Blancos will have a real chance of catching the star this summer when his £190,000-a-week contract enters its final year. And, just as it was when Kane was sold to Bayern this summer, Real Tottenham still have no option to cash in on the star with his contract about to enter his final year.
And the option to partner global superstar Kylian Mbappe at Real, who is also expected to complete his move to the Bernabeu in 2024, will propel the La Liga giants back into the Champions League race.
When Kane left Tottenham in the summer, Postecoglou revealed that his team were planning his departure months in advance. Now the club will most likely work out a succession plan with Son if Real Madrid’s interest materialises.
And according to Fabrizio Romano, Spurs are keeping an eye on Sassuolo striker Armand Lauriente.
The Frenchman arrived in Serie A from Lorient in the summer of 2022 and scored seven goals in 22 appearances in his first season. Able to play a central role or on the left wing, Lauriente possesses many of Son’s traits.
Better yet, the former France U21 foreigner is also a master of free-kicks, which can give Spurs an extra string to their bow if they make a concrete move.
And on his You Tube Here We Go channel, Romano showed that Lauriente is a player that Tottenham scouts are following.
“If Spurs are still interested in Armand Lauriente. What I can tell you is that I think this rumor is circulating because Tottenham have sent their scouts to various events to monitor Italian players in general. They are very active in the Italian market. ” Romano said.
“They stick to the Italian market and that’s why their recruiters keep an eye on safe talent.
“Lauriente did very well last season with Sassuolo, and he’s one of the players that Tottenham follow and follow, but they never made him an offer. They never entered into negotiations, so I can’t verify that Tottenham are actively running. “on a resolution for Armand Lauriente.
Lauriente has a contract with Sassuolo until the summer of 2027 and is valued at €35 million (£30 million).
