Everton has signed Ben Godfrey of Norwich on a five-year contract for an undisclosed one on the first primary play of the move-in deadline.
The Canary Islands has announced that he has won a record payment for the 22-year-old, whose new deal links him to Everton until the end of June 2025.
Godfrey made 30 appearances for Norwich relegated to the Premier League last season and had been connected to several high-level clubs in that window.

“It’s an honor to point out for Everton and be a massive club,” Godfrey told the club’s website.
“I am very grateful for this opportunity and look forward to getting started.
“The purpose for me at Everton is to win trophies and win matches. I like to win I’ve got my center up my sleeve. I worry and I’m a passionate boy.
Ben Godfrey has definitely moved to Everton. The city has won a club record payout for the English U21 defender.

The head office conducted a medical examination with the Premier League this weekend before the announcement of the deal on Monday morning.

Ryan Sessegnon of Tottenham has joined the Bundesliga Hoffenheim on loan for the rest of the season.
The 20-year-old has struggled to make an effect have effect since joining the Spurs for 25 million pounds last summer and was sent to buy game time.
Sessegnon has not yet played for Jose Mourinho’s team this season, despite a messy list of games.
