Sign up for Everton FC with the new season in a few days
Good night, Everton fans. Here are the headlines for your night on Thursday, August 13.
Everton in negotiations with Napoli on an agreement by midfielder Allan this summer.
The Italian newspaper Il Mattino, quoted through SportWitness, reports that the Serie A team is in a position to let the 29-year-old pass in the midst of Carlo Ancelotti’s serious interest.
The Blues coach has already worked with Allan, his finished Napoli finisher, and thought he was one of the Italian coach’s main goals for the existing movement window.
The midfielder is in fact a domain that Ancelotti needs and a player of Allan’s caliber would mark popularity for next season.
Former Everton forward-going Victor Anichebe spoke about the racist abuse he faced in a Europa League showdown opposed to Metalist Kharkiv in 2007.
And the 32-year-old says that football will not tolerate any form of racist abuse and that schooling is the key to solving a long-standing challenge in sport.
“One of the worst reports of racism I’ve experienced in an open-air attack in the Europa League while I was at Everton,” he told evertonfc.com.
“It’s terrible. We were walking around the stadium and some of the opposition fans were spitting all over me. The other people who walked with us set up umbrellas to protect the players.”
“Some enthusiasts threw bananas too. I just felt sorry for those other people, for having so much hate that they eat you inside.
“I scored in the game. But it’s enough for a black player to write down a purpose to meet those people.
“What does that mean? It’s more than just sports. They want to be informed if a genuine replacement happens.”
Everton continued his ambitious plans for a new stadium on Wednesday with an examination of bramley-Moore Dock.
The club, along with contractors Laing O’Rouke, is developing a detailed design and delivery plans that will require examining the stadium structure.
The most recent developments before the proposed plans saw Danny Marsh, senior landscape architect at Planit-IE, percentage photographs of the site at Bramley-Moore Dock in the early stages of the study.
Everton submitted its request to develop plans in December with a resolution still expected from the local council.
