Tottenham Hotspur are on the verge of promoting Eric Dier to Bayern Munich.
This is according to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, who reported on X what Dier needs to do in the long term for his Spurs.

Well, according to Florian Plettenberg at X, Tottenham Hotspur are in a position to sell Eric Dier to Bayern Munich in the January transfer window.
The Sky Germany journalist claimed that Dier, who can play as a centre-back or defensive midfielder, had reached a verbal agreement with Bundesliga champions Bayern, who signed England striker Harry Kane from Tottenham in the summer of 2023.
As you can see, Plettenberg claimed that Dier, described as “a trusted player” by former Tottenham manager Antonio Conte, needs to sign for Bayern now and has already spoken to Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel.
Tuchel will have seen Dier closely when he was the Chelsea manager. It seems that he has been hugely impressed and thinks that the 29-year-old, who has also been linked with West Ham United, can play in midfield and defence for his Bayern team.
In my opinion, leaving Tottenham Hotspur for Bayern Munich in the January transfer market would be a big step forward for Eric Dier and a dream.
Dier has been struggling to play for Spurs lately. The Englishman has made just one start and three substitute appearances for Tottenham in the Premier League this season.
The 29-year-old could end up winning the Bundesliga and the UEFA Champions League with Bayern this season. That could be just brilliant for Dier.
Dier has made 274 Premier League appearances so far in his career. He scored 12 goals, provided nine assists and kept 86 clean sheets in those games.
