Exclusive: Celtic agrees to pay lower Turnbull fares than last year

Celtic agreed to pay Motherwell a decline by David Turnbull last year, Football Insider reveals.

The online page previously announced that Scotland’s under-21 midfielder will undergo a Parkhead medical examination when he gave the finishing touches to his transfer.

A Celtic source told Football Insider that Motherwell had accepted an initial offer of 2.75 million pounds plus two separate tranches of add-ons worth 250,000 euros each.

The total charge of the deal can be successful at 3.25 million pounds, which is less than the agreed prices before Turnbull’s 2019 measure collapses at 11th time.

Fourteen months ago, Celtic was willing to pay 3 million pounds plus 500,000 euros in add-ons by the young game creator.

The agreement now on the final results of Turnbull’s knee scanners after undergoing surgery this time last year.

If the doctors give the go-ahead, Celtic is expected to announce the signature within the next 24 hours.

This will put an end to a long search for the Scottish champions, who are looking to make the sale of Tom Rogic.

Neil Lennon and his team closely watch Turnbull games early in the season and are confident that he is fully recovered from the knee surgery that ruined his 2019-2020 campaign.

Turnbull prospered in 2018-19, scoring 16 goals and offering seven assists for Motherwell in 34 games in all competitions.

He completed his five SPL games this season, scoring in the 2–2 draw with Hibernian.

In other news, Football Insider may reveal what Bruce said about Edward after the media was very distracted in his portrayal of Celtic’s position.
