Frank McAvennie says Celtic can still point to Scott McKenna even though the Scottish defender joined Nottingham Forest yesterday.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, the Hoops legend warned that his former club could step up for the 23-year-old in 12 months.
Nottingham Forest showed McKenna’s signature after the online page revealed that a down payment of 3 million pounds had been agreed with Aberdeen.

Neil Lennon’s appearance has long been interested abroad in Scotland and he is on the club’s central defense list this summer along with Shane Duffy, who finished his move to Parkhead this month.
He graduated from the ranks of Young Dons to identify as a regular in Pittodrie and made 119 first-team appearances.
When asked through Football Insider why he thought the Hoops had missed the middle, McAvennie said, “McKenna looks a lot like Duffy.
The Glasgow giants would probably be on the market for the middle of the market next summer with Kristoffer Ajer’s long career far from safe and Shane Duffy’s seasonal loan contract expiring in June 2021.
Ajer can even leave before the October 5 deadline despite interest from the Premier League and Serie A.
In news, it has been indicated that Celtic will seal two new signings until October 5 after a primary update.
