Chelsea legend Alan Hudson never runs out of one or two debatable opinions, however, it would be difficult to agree with the most recent one.
Speaking exclusively to CaughtOffside, “Huddy” may simply not be that the Blues have turned down a 70 million pound offer (by The Guardian) from Bayern Munich for Callum Hudson-Odoi.
The 19-year-old has a promising ability for a long time after progressing through Chelsea’s academy, but it’s fair to say that lately no symptoms of real potential have appeared, so a valuable sale to a team player may simply have been a good opportunity for the club to make big profits.
Hudson admits he would have damaged Bayern’s hands if he had been in charge.
“It’s a little mysterious to me because I’ve looked at this player several times and with this evidence, I’d break the hand of who should pay that kind of money,” Hudson told CaughtOffside.
With Chelsea spending so much cash in the movement window for incoming players, such an amount in the club’s coffers would have helped balance the books.
However, Frank Lampard obviously sees a long way for the Stamford Bridge player.
At the moment, the player is having difficulty getting into the initial lineup and will have to paint hard to make theirs on the side.
Much will be talked about how the Blues are carried as a unit, and also how they deal with injuries.
For Hudson, however, this is an opportunity.
We want the party signing.
He knew that once the rice simply didn’t get acquired, Lampard wouldn’t let Odoi through because he didn’t need to exhaust his legion of local players who sent barley and loftus anymore. The rice obsession defies logic. A larger product in the form of Thomas Partey from a more powerful team may have been acquired from a very weak midfield where Kante leads a single defensive battle.
Odoi, loftus and mount will thrive only under shrewd, patient and very mature coaches such as van gaal, simione, ancellotti and at bayern. I very much doubt that Odoi will up the price Chelsea. La otherwise odoi is naive, he takes an ambitious resolution and leaves Chelsea.
It is a purchase option, not a legal responsibility to purchase. Don’t get ahead of him. Bayern did not address the option to buy Coutinho and James Rodriguez when they had the chance, chances are they would not train the option to buy Hudson-Odoi unless he was a world drummer, which is highly unlikely.
Throughout the summer, I expected Lampard to opt for UPamecano from RB Leizip, which would have served as a major improvement in this central defense. I still think Chelsea will hire him in January.
