Sheffield United made a touch to point to Celtic target Ben Davies before next Monday’s deadline, Football Insider can reveal it exclusively.
He has announced the Scottish giants’ interest in the central defence, which has completed the last 8 months of his contract at Preston North End.
A recruit told Football Insider that United had made a move for 25-year-old Davies after Jack O’Connell’s devastating injury.
