Exclusive: Wolves striker accepts 20/21 terms

Wolves striker Niall Ennis agreed to sign for Doncaster Rovers on a one-season loan, Football Insider said.

The online page revealed last week that the 21-year-old is in negotiations to extend his contract at Molineux and that Portsmouth and Oxford United were in talks to point it out on a transitional basis.

However, a Wolves source told Football Insider that Ennis returns to Doncaster Rovers after the League One team’s return with a new offer for his former lender.

Ennis spent the entire 2019/20 crusade at Keepmoat Stadium and agreed to non-public terms to return to Yorkshire for the new season.

The young striker controlled to score six times and play with four more assists in 32 games last season.

His performances convinced manager Darren Moore to take him back for a moment of the year after a solid but un spectacular start to the 2020/21 crusade for the club.

The rovers won two, tied and lost in their first four matches, as they were eliminated from the League Cup through Blackburn Rovers.

Ennis, a graduate of the Wolves academy, has not yet identified as a senior of Nuno Espirito Santo in Molineux, with a first-team appearance to his credit.

He made his debut from understudy bank Shrewsbury Town in an FA Cup clash in 2019.

His only other senior team appearance of the day in the Wolves’ 1-0 win over Bristol City in the same competition.

In other Wolves news, it would possibly be revealed that an advocate terminated his contract at Molineux with a loose agent and would seal a move elsewhere.
