Manchester United will move out of their Carrington complex due to logistical issues with the expansion of the venue.
Senior club resources say United is limited through the narrow country lane on Birch Road, as well as the wires leading to the education complex.
United has explored the option of purchasing nearby farmland but could face disruption to the construction of football fields on land used for food production.
At the current headquarters, United needs to expand to any of the fields as they intend to prioritize football.
Informal discussions have been held through senior United officials about a possible relocation of its education complex over the next 24 years starting in 2022.

United spent £9. 1 million last year on facilities for the women’s team and academy, while the first-team swimming pool and dining room were renovated the year before.
Senior club figures visited Leicester City’s immaculate Seagrave training complex that opened in 2021 and were bowled over by the infrastructure. Its designer, Mags Mernagh, is now the director of infrastructure at United and overseeing the enhancements at Carrington.
United moved from The Cliff to Carrington in January 2000, having purchased the land in 1996, but the facilities owned by the Glazer family have seen few improvements.
