Manchester City beat West Ham United 4-1 at the Etihad stadium in the first adjustment of the premiere of the Iron of 2025.
The Hammers did little to make the hosts take advantage of their chances. The pain caused before the break when an unfortunate own goal from Vladimír Coufal opened the scoring ten minutes before Erling Haaland’s header doubled City’s lead just before the break.
Haaland added a third in the 55th minute, then Phil Foden scored a moment later. Niclas Füllkrug scored a 19-minute comfort from time, but, in truth, Pep Guardiola’s looks secured a well-deserved victory on a bloodless afternoon in the M11.
