Gonzalo Higuain’s father believes it is almost for his son to return to River Plate at this time, insisting that he will most likely finish his contract with Juventus first.
The Argentine striker has been promoted as one of the next players to leave Bianconeri in the coming weeks, as the control seeks to reform the team and particularly the payroll.
Higuaín is rumoured to return to his local country after spending much of the era of the lockout in Argentina with his beloved mother, which raised the hypothesis that he could be considered a return to River Plate.
Despite the rumours, Pipita’s father, Jorge, told Planet 947 that his son will most likely stay in Turin and see the last year of his contract.
“It’s almost for Gonzalo to come back and play at River Plate,” Jorge Higuaín told the news channel.
“You will not end your contract to sign freely for some other team. Juve? Rumors that bianconeri no longer need it on their team are just an invention.”
“I think he’s going to rescind his contract there, and then, if he can, he’ll come to the river or play somewhere else.”
