FC Barcelona will have to prove their good momentum. Unbeaten in ten games in all competitions, Xavi’s men host Las Palmas on the 30th at the Olympic Stadium in Montjuïc to consolidate their second place. Ten days before the first leg of the round of 16 against Paris Saint-Germain, Barca can provisionally take a fourth-point lead over third-placed Girona and are six points behind Spanish leaders Real Madrid. On the other hand, Las Palmas is in the most vulnerable part (12th) and has nothing at stake, although its survival is not yet mathematically assured. The match can be followed live with observation on Football France Hebdomadaire from 9pm.
For this match, Xavi, suspended and therefore in the stands, does not have Baldé, Christensen, Gavi, Pedri and De Jong and lines up his same 4-3-3 as always. Inigo Martinez likes Araujo to marry Cubarsi in the centre-back while Koundé starts at right-back. Gündogan joins through Fermín and Sergi Roberto in midfield while Raphinha and Yamal will accompany Lewandowski, only up front, in attack. At the other end, García Pimienta, without Araujo, is covered in a 4-5-1 with Frenchman Enzo Loiodice in midfield while Munir El Haddadi and Sandro Ramírez, two players trained at La Masia, started on the left wing and scored.
Lineups:
FC Barcelona: ter Stegen – Koundé, Cubarsi, I. Martinez, Cancelo – S. Roberto, Gündogan, Fermin – Yamal, Lewandowski, Raphinha
Las Palmas: Valles – Alex Suarez, Coco, Mármol, Cardona – Marvin, Javier Muñoz, Loiodice, Rodríguez, Munir El Haddadi – Ramírez
