FC Porto president Pinto da Costa claims Manchester United-linked striker Mehdi Taremi will leave the club in 2024.
Taremi’s contract expires at the end of the season and it turns out that Porto agreed to lose him as the player has been offered a salary that may not be matched by the Portuguese giants.
Manchester United have partnered with a resolution through Taremi to fix United’s goalscoring woes. The Red Devils have 20-year-old striker Rasmus Hojlund and it is clear that Erik ten Hag wants more roles in attack.
The backup option we have is Anthony Martial and no one is convinced that he can change his career at United.
Pinto da Costa, who works as Porto’s president, provided an update on Taremi and appeared to announce that he’d be leaving the club in the new year.
Costa explained, as quoted by the Manchester Evening News: “He has won wage offers of €10 million (£8. 7 million) a year from other clubs. . . It’s suitable for that. “
We’ll be keeping an eye on Taremi’s reports, although it’s essential to note that United are the only club linked to the Porto striker.
