Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa is confident he can exploit Arsenal’s “weaknesses” ahead of Wednesday night’s Champions League clash.
The Gunners will manage to reach the quarter-finals of the continent’s elite club festival for the first time since 2010, when they coincidentally overcame the Portuguese giants.
Mikel Arteta’s side have largely made it through the organisation phase, but come into the match at the Estadio do Dragao with injury problems.
They are without Thomas Partey despite their recent return to training, while Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Takehiro Tomiyasu will miss the match.
Still, Arsenal are in excellent form and have scored at least three goals in four of their last five Premier League games.
Costa, however, is convinced that the Portuguese side have more than enough for what would be an unexpected result in the 16-man round.
“We’re ready for whatever Arsenal can do, whether it’s offensively or defensively,” he told a press conference on Tuesday.
“Everyone has their weaknesses, they haven’t faced FC Porto yet and they will have their difficulties.
“They’re a very offensive team with some weaknesses that we’re going to exploit to the maximum and we’re going to do everything we can to get the win.
“They have weaknesses, of course I wouldn’t say what they are, but I assure you we will do everything we can to win. If they’re favourites, they have to prove it. “
Porto are third in the Primeira Liga, seven times higher than Benfica.
