Fenerbahce drew 2-2 with Zenit in a charity match

ISTANBUL

Fenerbahce drew 2-2 with Zenit St. Petersburg on Thursday at a charity event to raise money for those affected by last month’s earthquakes in Turkey.

Playing at Istanbul’s Ulker Stadium, Mert Hakan Yandas and Bora Aydinlik scored for the Turkish club, while Malcom and Claudinho produced for the Russian football team.

All proceeds from the fundraising event were used to help victims and survivors of the harsh earthquakes that struck Turkey on February 6.

A total of 13,000 fans watched the clash in the stadium.

Earthquakes of magnitude 7. 7 and 7. 6 affected some thirteen million people in 11 provinces, in addition to Adana, Adiyaman, Diyarbakir, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kahramanmaras, Kilis, Malatya, Osmaniye, Elazig and Sanliurfa.

At least 50,096 other people have died in the two violent earthquakes that struck southern Turkey.
