Financial game: Wolves punished through UEFA for spending too much

The wolves beat Olympiakos to triumph in the 16th round of the Europa League on Wednesday.

This is the first time that wolves have reached the quarter-finals of a European festival in 48 years.

Beating them would earn them a spot in the 2020–21 Champions League.

However, even if they succeed, they won’t sign a full 25-player “A List” fee as punishment for spending too much.

The governing body of European football, UEFA, has this fact after confirming that it has reached an agreement with Wolves, who is playing on Tuesday at Sevilla in Duisburg.

In addition, the Wolves agreed to report “a maximum balance deficit of 30 million euros (27.1 million pounds) in the year ending in 2020 and finally, the 2021/22 season, to achieve a balance sheet result for the fiscal year ended in 2019, 2020 and 2021.”
