The 2024 Premier League summer move window is in full swing and clubs have spent money on the new season.
July 1 ushered in a new era of PSR [profit and sustainability rules], which meant groups across the country spending a little more freely.
In June, many clubs rushed to sell players ahead of the June 30 PSR deadline, leading to deals between rivals to ensure no one earned a trouble deduction.
But now that the worries of the year are over, top-flight clubs are strengthening their squads for the next campaign.
A lot has been spent across the league and here are the most important deals so far. . .
Julen Lopetegui’s main target since he became Kilman, West Ham’s coach.
The Spaniard worked with the Englishman at Wolves and is a great admirer of the centre-back.
Kilman has strategy and adds much-needed young people and speed to West Ham’s aging defense.
The Hammers have spent a lot of money, but it has been worth it.
Aston Villa broke their record by signing Onana from Everton.
The Belgian midfielder returned from Euro 2024 and shortly afterwards completed his £50m move to Villa Park.
Villa fended off Arsenal and Bayern Munich to seal the deal.
Onana will be Douglas Luiz in Unai Emery’s midfield as they compete in the Premier League and Europe this season.
Chelsea announced the signing of Neto in pre-season as they continued to recruit new players.
Neto joined the Blues from Wolves for £51. 4m to bolster Enzo Maresca’s already full squad.
The winger reportedly cried as he left the Wolves education floor and said goodbye to his teammates.
It is an emotional resolution for him, but all attention will now be on finding a place in the starting XI at Stamford Bridge this season.
The arrival of 18-year-old Yoro at Old Trafford is one of the offers of the summer so far.
His £52m move to Manchester United saw him stay with Joshua Zirkzee at the door.
The French centre-back took part in pre-season and was expected to play a vital role in the defence of Ten Hag’s team.
However, he suffered an injury that will keep him out of action during the first months of the season, delaying his competitive debut for now.
Tottenham broke their record this summer by signing Bournemouth striker Solanke.
Ange Postecoglou was given his man a whopping £55m upfront, and the payout amounted to £65m with add-ons.
Solanke has signed a six-year deal at the club, having been rewarded with a signing following a brilliant last campaign.
He scored 19 Premier League goals, his most productive season in the most sensible flight, and will now look to reflect that form for Spurs.
