The junior physician organization was traveling on a white 2012 Toyota HiLux with license plate 6five3414 around 5pm.Saturday.
Concerns have arisen after they were unable to meet their friends at a camp 150 kilometres east of Alice Springs this weekend.
Police were informed through friends of the organization on Sunday afternoon that the five missing were destined to meet with them and camp overnight at Ruthrough Gap, a nature park in East MacDonnell Ranges on Saturday night.
The park is available through a complicated four-wheel drive track.
Police previously said there had been calls from the family circle that the behavior “out of place.”
