Police in Georgia are disputing a local Democratic official’s claim that she “got high” before passing out in the street.
Paul Benjamin Locke, who used the nickname “Big Ben” on some websites, allegedly scammed victims in at least nine other law enforcement jurisdictions across the country out of cash to buy counterfeit football tickets and merchandise, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department. Locke would accept invoices from Venmo and Cash App, and then never hold up his end of the bargain, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia.
Department officers arrested Locke on Oct. 31 with the help of nine other law enforcement agencies that were on his side, in addition to police in Heflin and Oxford, Alabama, according to Atlanta News First.

Locke, who has been on the run since July 2020, is now incarcerated in the Douglas County Jail in Georgia on bail for probation violations (Google Street View).

Locke faces a felony and misdemeanor rate for violating the terms of his probation and is incarcerated on bail in the Douglas County Jail, according to his criminal history.

The sheriff’s office believes Locke could have patients across the country and is urging other patients to contact local authorities.
