This summer’s football continues with the Olympic Games, just weeks after the Euro 2024 final.
The men’s football party will begin on Wednesday 24 July, one day before the start of the women’s tournament on Thursday 25 July.
Brazil won the men’s event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, while Canada won gold in the women’s event for the first time.
This is the 29th time that football has made a men’s Olympic appearance and the eighth time it has had a women’s event.
The 16 men’s organizations were divided into four organizations, with the top two advancing to the quarterfinals. There were 12 women’s organizations divided into three organizations: the top two in organizing advanced, as well as the top two in third place. .

The football tournaments will take place from July 24 to August 10 in seven venues in use: Nice, Bordeaux and Saint-Etienne will be stadiums at the organizational level.
Lyon and Marseille will host the semi-finals, with a bronze medal in Nantes for the men and a bronze medal in Lyon for the women.
Paris will host the two finals in the Parc des Princes, with capacity for 48,000 people. The men’s final will take place on August 9 and the women’s final a day later, on August 10.
