MADRID – Real Madrid beat Celta de Vigo 2-0 at home on Saturday thanks to a purpose and a hand from Spanish couple Lucas Vázquez and Marco Asensio, putting the team above their local rivals, Atletico Madrid, as La Liga’s most sensitive.
The win led the Spanish champion to the most sensible with 36 points, a striker of the second qualifier Atletico, who has 3 matches in hand and visited Alavés on Sunday.
Real was beaten in a 1–1 draw in the face of Elche’s suffering in his last match, but had an ideal start thanks to a header from Vazquez, who overcatched two Celtic defenders to drive a centre in Asensio.
