RIO DE JANEIRO (Reuters) – Flamengo and Botafogo played an exciting 1-1 draw in a Rio de Janeiro derby on Sunday that included two goals in time off and a debatable Flamengo hit.
Pedro Raúl advanced to Botafogo a few seconds in time but Gabriel Barbosa drew by converting a penalty with the last shot of the match.
However, Flamengo, the defending Serie A champion, will rightly be disappointed after Barbosa scored a goal after a VAR with a 15-minute finale.
The result leaves the owners of the name in 12th place with five problems from their first five games.
Botafogo, meanwhile, remains undefeous in eighth place with six problems in 4 games.
