The Commodores’ lineup was so exhausted by wear and tear that Vanderbilt may have withdrawn from last Saturday’s game against Tennessee, but instead the Commodores covered what was left of a decimated team through exclusion options, injuries and COVID-19 problems.
Tennessee benefited more than Vanderbilt’s resolve to play with only 49 scholarship athletes. The flights ended their six-loss streak with a 42-17 win.
If Vanderbilt had played against someone other than his rival in the state, he would have actually subsidized it downwards. This week’s game between Georgia and Vanderbilt was canceled on Monday because Commodores may simply not meet the SEC’s minimum composition and position requirements.
Vanderbilt may have opposed Tennessee the same thing.
Without victory over the Commodores, UT would enter Neyland Stadium on Saturday with a six-game winning streak and the chance to complete the season with a 2-7 record.

However, they don’t look like a PSC team. Alabama beat them on 28 tracks and they beat Vanderbilt on just five tracks at the opening of the season.

Alabama 45, Florida 27: The SEC championship game is expected to provide the two most sensitive groups in the conference, but will be a boast for a team.

Johnson seemed like a long-term star in leading the LSU revolt in Florida. Corral’s already a star.
Missouri 27, Mississippi State 20: The Bulldogs hired offensive guru Mike Leach as their coach and stepped up on defense. On the side, their offense is a disaster.
But there’s hope for the offensive. Missouri has lost combined problems in the last two games.
