Former Eaglets employer joins TSV Hartberg

Former Golden Eaglets captain Samson Tijani has joined TSV Hartberg of the Austrian Bundesliga on loan from Red Bull Salzburg for the 2020–2021 season.

The 18-year-old defensive midfielder signed a five-year contract with Red Bull Salzburg in July, and will continue to expand with Profertil Arena Hartberg.

The Academy’s product, Collin Edwin, played each and every minute of the U-17 World Cup crusade in Brazil and produced a form-based kind of functionality in his first organization outing by scoring a double in his 4–2 win over Hungary.

Commenting on his transfer to TSV Hartberg, Tijani said on the club’s official website: “I am very pleased to be here. I’m on the team and I hope to help the team get even better.”

General manager and chief sports officer Erich Korherr added: “We are very happy to welcome an ordinary skill like Samson Tijani in Hartberg.

“We look forward to this player. Thanks also to Christoph Freund of FC Red Bull Salzburg for the option of transfer.
