Nathan Baxter admits the prospect of having a permanent one excites him after signing a two-year contract with League One side Bolton Wanderers.
Baxter launched through Chelsea this summer and spent the last two loan spells at Hull City, but saw his spell moment end early when he returned to Stamford Bridge in the winter.
City had agreed to a permanent move for the 24-year-old when they signed him from Chelsea 12 months ago before opting for another direction, signing Karl Darlow from Newcastle United in January.
The former Tigers striker, who has become a fan favourite after an encouraging first spell at MKM Stadium, was wanted through Maccabi Haifa and would move to Israel before Trotters boss Ian Evatt convinced him to move to Bolton University Stadium.

“After seven years on loan, this will be my first permanent move, so I’m excited,” Baxter told Bolton’s website.
“It’s the right time for me. I’m at a smart age and it will be great to feel like I’m there for the long haul and not just for a loan. “Bolton is a great football club with a huge fan base. When I spoke to the manager, we agreed that we were looking for things at the top of the game and Bolton has the ambition to get there, step by step.
“The length of the club and the way it is controlled has been vital for me. Working with the coach and goalkeeping coach, who worked well in the game, was also vital for me.
“I had a lot of options, but I think coming to a club where I can be number one and play at the most sensible part of the table is what I should be a part of. It was a very quick verbal exchange with the coach. as my resolution was made quickly.
“I’ve played with some of the guys at previous clubs before and they all said smart things about Bolton. The first thing they said was about the length of the club and the quality of the fan base, so I’m excited.
“I played a lot of football at a young age and had a lot of experience, adding in this division. I’m excited to come here after two seasons in the previous league. My purpose is to be the purpose in the league for the team in the league.
“I can’t wait to meet all the guys now and start on the first day of preseason. “
