Chelsea’s 2019-20 crusade ended on Saturday at Bayern Munich.
After completing the Premier League season in fourth place, securing qualification for the Champions League, Chelsea’s term ended with a 4–1 loss at the Allianz Arena.
Bayern beat Chelsea 7-1 overall.
Robert Lewandowski scored two goals for Bayern, while the Pole also placed Ivan Perisic and Corentin Tolisso. Tammy Abraham scored Chelsea’s comfort goal.
After the match against Bayern, Chelsea manager Frank Lampard made a direct consultation on the likelihood that Kai Havertz would move to Bayer Leverkusen’s Stamford Bridge.
Previously, Lampard tried to dodge all the questions about Havertz.
In fact, Lampard recently said he would bragably communicate about the option to sign the 21-year-old German game creator.
However, after Bayern’s match, Lampard responded to the rumour of The Havertz’s move. And, unfortunately for Chelsea fans, he hinted that an agreement would be reached:
I wouldn’t be expecting anything, I wouldn’t be waiting (Havertz joins Chelsea). But like I said, it’s our job to go out and see what happens and see if we can get better.
We’ve worked on that before [recruiting]. You feel like we miss where the clubs have improved and spent.
Recruitment is an integral component of football. It’s time to see if we can and where we can
At the same time that Lampard poured bloodless water onto the agreement with Havertz, RMC Sport journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi reported something different.
Bouhafsi claimed that Havertz wanted to sign for Chelsea and that the German had signed a five-year contract with the Blues.
Chelsea is now now looking to finalize the terms with Bayer Leverkusen. Discussions are reportedly ongoing, and Chelsea is “optimistic” to reach an agreement.
Chelsea can get a deal with Leverkusen in the coming days.
The Blues hope to agree a tiered plan with Bayer to complete the transfer.
#Havertz definitely need to register for #Chelsea! The player on a five-year contract. Discussions between Bayer #Leverkusen and Chelsea continue. Chelsea is optimistic. Chelsea expects to end in the next few days by staggering the payment.
