Chelsea’s former defenseman, Frank Sinclair, joined Port Vale as head of training development.
The 48-year-old started running with John Askey and his team in March and now has a duty to close the gap between young players and the first team.
He told the club’s website: “I’m very happy to be here.My first impression is that I love the setup.Clearly it’s a circle of family members, a networking club, and I like it because there’s synergy between all departments.”.
“Obviously, I see a key detail in my role of closing the gap between young players and the first team.I need to bring them closer and help them feel closer to the players in the first team so they sense that if they paint hard and do the right thing.”attitude, the teacher can look at them. Sinclair went through the youth formula at Chelsea and continued to make more than two hundred appearances with them, winning the 1996/97 FA Cup, the 1997/98 Coca-Cola Cup and the 1997/98 UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup.
He represented the Jamaican national team at the 1998 CONCACAF Gold Cup and the 1998 World Cup.
He also played for Leicester, winning the 1999/2000 League Cup before spells at Burnley, Huddersfield, Lincoln, Wrexham, Hendon, Colwyn Bay and, nevertheless, Brackley Town.
He controlled Colwyn Bay, Brackley Town and Hednesford Town.
