French chef Cyril Lignac brings Bar des Prés to London

Lignac trained with Alain Pasard in Arége in Paris and now runs 4 restaurants in the French capital: Le Chardenoux, Aux Prés, Ischia and Le Bar des Prés.

The London Bar des Prés is presented as a complex edition of the Parisian original, presented in 2016 in Saint-Germain-des-Prés and with fashion and film types.

Bar des Prés served bloodless dishes, but its British version will offer Franco/East Asian creations that are hot and bloodless.

The dishes will come with scallops with caramelized miso; Cake crack; Madras curry crab with avocado; and satay beef fillet.

Lignac is a qualified pastry chef and plans to revisit the classics of French pastry, toast, chocolate cake and milhojas.

The exclusively French wine list will have about 250 references and there will also be a complete cocktail menu that will come with germanopratin (gin, Saint-Germain, cucumber, lemon juice, champagne); and Mayfair Sour (Yamazaki whisky, lemon juice, ginger syrup, coconut whipped, tonka bean).

Designed through Sagrada (Dover Street Arts Club), the area will accommodate a hundred double-decker seats, adding the counter.

“I’ve enjoyed London, its culture, its power and its lifestyle,” says Lignac.
