A new documentary series illustrating the club’s 2019/20 roller roller roller cross, which saw beloved coach Mauricio Pochettino eliminated and Mourinho reduced to sixth position, revealed how dramatic and insensitive Mourinho’s educational tactics can be.
In Amazon’s most anticipated documentary series ‘All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur’, Mourinho can be seen publicly excoroning English star Dele Alli, once one of Europe’s most talented teenagers before failing to meet the highest expectations in recent years.

Mourinho called Alli a ‘vague’, while revealing that legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson had already begged him to signal Alli when he was in the rhythm of the Red Devils.
On the first day of education of the spurs after Mourinho took over, the Spanish coach approached Alli, who stretched out.
Mourinho said, “What a bum!” to which a surprised Alli replied, “Me?”
Coach replied: “I’m going to be a headache for you. You’re lucky, because when my ass hurts, it’s a smart thing to do.”
On stage, Mourinho spoke of the player with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.
Mourinho told the English businessman: “I’ve already said a lot to Dele, he doesn’t exercise well. He’s not a smart trainer. I don’t say a disaster, but I don’t say a Harry Kane – Harry Kane is doing a good exercise. He’s not in England anymore.’
Levy replied, “Two years ago, he [up here]…” with a gesture that indicates Alli’s remarkable functionality in recent years.
In 2016/17, Alli scored 18 goals and got seven assists. Last season? Eight goals, 4 assists and seven failed “big occasions”. It’s a worried loss, and Mourinho has to return to bring the Spurs back to the Champions League next year.
Mourinho told Levy: “Sir Alex Ferguson has given me a recommendation in two and a half years (as Manchester United manager): buy Dele Alli.
“This guy, with that mindset, the game, the aggression he has in mind … This guy’s a Manchester United player. Buy.
“And he has a good eye for the players and Dele Alli told me. But he’s not a smart coach and we have to find the right motivation.”
It is a euphemism to say that Ferguson has “good eye for the players”, given his mythical record as Manchester United coach.
But he is not the only one to congratulate Alli, who stood out widely as the core of England’s next-generation team, and who played in the semi-final of the 2018 Three Lions World Cup.
Motivating Alli to succeed in his immense perspective is not an easy task, with Mourinho his abrasive logo has a taste to publicly abuse the player.
In a tactical consultation against the whole team, Mourinho lashed out at Alli saying, “I’m training, I’ve already discovered, where’s Alli? I’ve already discovered a fucking sloth training.” I don’t want any more days [to see that]. Lazy.”
In Mourinho’s mid-season at the helm, Alli failed to return to his best level. Spurs enthusiasts desperately expect the coach’s relentless technique to be more of a success this time.
