Galatasaray are set to compete with Juventus for a Manchester United star who seems more likely to leave in the January moving window.
The Red Devils have endured an inconsistent start to the new campaign and Erik ten Hag will already have one eye on the January transfer window so that he can boost his squad.
In addition to the winter window to boost their options, Man Utd can also use it as an opportunity to get rid of some of their marginal players.
For example, Donny van de Beek has played just 21 minutes of football in all competitions this season and it turns out that he is preparing for his departure in January.
“I have to start betting very soon, if not on Manchester United, then on the club. I think I have to be ambitious,” the Dutch midfielder revealed in a recent interview.
As he doesn’t seem to be part of Ten Hag’s plans going forward, he looks set to seek a new opportunity once the transfer window opens.
Of course, Van de Beek was on the verge of signing for Real Sociedad on loan for a season during the summer, but that resolution ultimately did not materialise. Fast forward to January and the 26-year-old midfielder has a few offers on the table.

In November, TEAMtalk exclusively revealed that Juventus were seeking a double deal for Jadon Sancho and Van de Beek.
The Red Devils will most likely settle for a small fee for the Dutch midfielder as they will be aware that they will not be able to recoup the £35m they initially spent on him in 2020.
While Juventus seem keen to strike a deal for the disgraced midfielder, they may face a festival to get his signature.
According to Turkish outlet Sporx, Galatasaray are interested in signing the 26-year-old in the January transfer window.
Galatasaray already have many former Premier League stars in their ranks and Van de Beek would have more first-team opportunities with the Turkish club.
Fabrizio Romano recently provided his own update on the Man Utd midfielder, as all existing signs point to the exit door.
“It’s too early to say where Donny van de Beek will end up, but it’s time for him to leave Man United,” Romano revealed in his exclusive daily briefing for CaughtOffside.
“His agents will be talking to clubs in the coming weeks to see what interest he is generating among his consumers, and there will be plenty of opportunities in other countries. . . England, Spain, Italy and more. “
His contract at Old Trafford expires in 2025, the club have the option to extend it for a further year. Ten Hag hopes to take advantage of interest from Juventus and Galatasaray to increase his price.
