On Wednesday, the current Estonian football league champion FC Flora lost to Lithuanian FK Suduva in the penalty shootout, ending Flora’s move to this year’s Champions League after the first qualifying round.
Although no goals were scored in the first forty-five minutes of education in A.A. At Tallinn’s Rooster Arena, the first part passed through the current Lithuanian champions.
Flora, however, came out of half-time and Rauno Sappinen’s 49th-minute goal gave the Estonian club the lead. In the 77th minute, Henrik Prg’s foul resulted in a penalty that Suduva striker Mihret Topcagic was able to score.
In the third minute of the moment, Flora had a chance to close a victory, but Suduva’s goalkeeper Ivan Kardum controlled a one-on-three situation, diverting Rauno Allik’s shot above the goal.
Both groups played hard for two extra 15-minute times, Topcagic hit the pole once. Mihkel was able to save some other opportunity by clearing the ball just before crossing the line of purpose. Flora controlled to hold on and the match went on to the penalty shootout.
Flora’s captain, Konstantin Vassiljev, and Markus Soomets missed their shots at the door. However, Suduva made all four shots and qualified for the moment in the standings. Array Flora will continue in Europe at the time of the Europa League’s ranking.
