The online statistics page, Opta Joe, showed after the game that Kane was the first player to provide and lend a hand to the four goals of a teammate in Premier League history.
Opta Joe wrote: “4 – Harry Kane helped Son Heung-Min’s four goals opposite Southampton today – the first time in @premierleague history, a player has helped four times in a single game. Fabulous. “
The Spurs will receive Newcastle United in their Premier League match in north London on Sunday.
Tottenham has signed real Madrid gareth Bale and Spanish defender Sergio Reguilón and the duo can make their debut against the Urracas next weekend.
