Genoa field Atalanta and Tottenham bids for Dragusin

There are mixed reports in Italy about what Rade Dragusin’s future will be, as while Genoa are sure to sign him to a new contract, Atalanta and Tottenham Hotspur are pushing to buy the defender.

The 21-year-old Romanian attended Juventus’ youth academy, which he joined in 2018, and had several loan spells at Sampdoria, Salernitana and Genoa.

He moved permanently to Genoa this summer for €5. 5m plus up to €1. 8m in additional bonuses.

The contract lasts until June 2027 and Génova, as well as Fabrizio Romano, guarantee that they are guaranteed to get him a new contract until 2028.

However, this means that Dragusin will remain in Griffon for much longer, as interest persists.

Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio says Atalanta have earned close to €20 million, but Tottenham’s offer will bring that figure to €30 million.

There were reports of a €30 million release clause in the new contract, but that appears to be the case.
