Genoa has managed to recruit young talents from Juventus, as those players have the ability to expand well and end up generating really high movement fees.
Juventus has a lot of promise in other age groups, from the U19 team to the Next Gen team.
In January, Genoa turned a profit by promoting Radu Dragusin to Tottenham Hotspur. The Romanian defender had joined Genoa from Juventus two seasons earlier.
In addition, Genoa secured the Koni de Winter facility earlier this season. Initially loaned out, the deal will be permanent once De Winter plays 25 games, a milestone he is expected to achieve success soon.
As it turns out, Genoa is about to replicate this strategy in the upcoming summer transfer window. Reports from Tuttomercatoweb imply their interest in Enzo Barrenechea, who has lately been on loan at Frosinone from Juventus. Genoa intends to strike a loan deal for Barrenechea when he returns to Juventus this summer.
Juve FC says
Barrenechea has been on loan at Frosinone, which will give him the chance to take part in pre-season with our squad this summer.
But that doesn’t mean he’s going to get playing time, so moving to Genoa may be a smart concept for him.
