FRANCFORT, Germany (AP) – German coach Joachim Lew called two debutants on Friday for the Ukrainian and Spanish League of Nations matches and a friendly against the Czech Republic.
He has appointed PSV eindhoven defender Philipp Max and Augsburg defender Felix Uduokhai to his 29-member team. Thilo Kehrer, Ilkay Gondogan and Leroy Sané returned after the October internationals were missing.
Germany will face the Czech Republic on 11 November in Leipzig, then receive Ukraine in the same city 3 days later and the team will travel to face Spain in Seville on 17 November.
Bayern defender Niklas Sil and Chelsea midfielder Kai Havertz will miss matches after taking a positive for coronavirus. The matches are intended to take a position as a component of strict hygiene measures to prevent additional infections.
