Giants cut 28 to succeed on the 53-man limit

The Giants have only extended two quarterbacks and have two players who will likely be injured tomorrow, after making their first cut to 53.

The team has freed quarterbacks Cooper Rush and Alex Tanney, and either of them is eligible to return to the practice team (since Daniel Jones and Colt McCoy remain in the 53rd).

They also released the following players: internal supporter Ryan Connelly, defensive take-up of Chris Slayton, cornerer Chris Williamson, open receivers Johnny Holton, Alex Bachman, Derrick Dillon, Austin Mack and Binjimen Victor; Tavien Feaster; close advice Eric Tomlinson and Garrett Dickerson; offensive linemen Jon Halapio, Eric Smith, Tyler Haycraft and Kyle Murphy; defensive line players Daylon Mack and Niko Lalos; supporter Josiah Tauaefa; defensive backs Grant Haley, Watch Hartage (injured), Brandon Williams, Dravon Askew-Henry, KeiVarae Russell, Jarren Williams and Prince Smith, Jr.; and the carson Tinker longgoer.

They will most likely create two more spots sometime starting today, putting linebacker David Mayo (knee) and rookie guard Xavier McKinney (foot) on injured reserve, allowing them to return after missing. at least 3 games.

Ryan Connelly? It must have ruined his knee last year.
