Goal hero Bojan Miovski thanked Aberdeen for giving him a platform to boost his career.
The striker struggled to get started for his country while playing for Hungarian club MTK Budapest.
However, since signing for the Dons in a £535,000 move from MTK in the summer of 2022, Miovski has the first-choice striker from North Macedonia.
The 24-year-old played in the 1-0 friendly against Montenegro on Monday afternoon and his tally rises to 21.
With 22 for the Dons this season, the prolific striker had failed to score in 8 games in Aberdeen before facing the North Macedonian side.
This is the longest barren era of Miovski’s career in Aberdeen.
However, the centre-forward scored in the 1-1 friendly against Moldova on Friday, ending his goal drought.
It’s an opportune time to get back into goalscoring form ahead of the Reds’ Premiership clash against Ross County in Pittodrie on Saturday.
Aberdeen intends to appoint a new manager ahead of the high-stakes showdown with the Staggies.
The Dons are just three points behind Ross County, who occupy the relegation play-off spot.
German football consulting organisation BPTC, which recently conducted an internal investigation of the club, was very concerned about the procedure for appointing a new coach.
Aberdeen recently pledged to appoint a manager for the existing external breakout.
Miovski said: “I appreciate that Aberdeen has given me the opportunity to be where I am lately in the national team.
“Aberdeen helped me a lot because I wasn’t in the starting line-up when I was in Hungary.
“When I signed for Aberdeen and performing well and scoring goals, I had the opportunity to be the first national team of the national team.
“And take that nine. “
Aberdeen signed Miovski for a reduced payment of £535,000 from MTK Budapest, capitalising on a clause in Hungarian football.
MTK Budapest’s relegation to the Hungarian second division at the end of the 2021–22 season meant a direct sale of their foreign players.
This was due to a rule in Hungarian football according to which any club that descends from the most sensible flight will have to get rid of its foreign talent.
MTK Budapest had in the past rejected a €1. 2 million (£1. 03 million) offer from Rapid Vienna for the striker in the summer of 2021.
Aberdeen beat club festivals from Belgium, Russia, Hungary, Switzerland and Poland to sign Miovski.
Miovski scored 18 goals in all competitions in his first season at Pittodrie and has already surpassed that figure this campaign.
Miovsky has also inspired the foreign stage.
He won the penalty for North Macedonia in England’s 1-1 draw in Euro 2024 qualifying last November.

Miovski said: “The foreign team gives me the privilege of facing big nations.
“Playing against players who play in the five most sensible leagues, like the English Premier League and Italy.
“It’s an opportunity to see where we are in relation to them.
“They are at the highest point and each and every player dreams of one day playing at the highest point.
“The team is giving this opportunity.
“It’s great to build your country because the rest is playing for your club.
“In those friendlies we build the shape for national team matches in the long term.
“It’s a fantastic 10 days to spend in the camp (with North Macedonia). “
