The Green Brigade could get Celtic with a POINTS DEDUCTION, believes former Rangers star Graham Dorrans.

The controversial supporters’ organisation took part in a “day of action” when they gathered outside Celtic Park to welcome Brendan Rodgers’ side ahead of the Scottish Premiership’s 1-1 draw with Motherwell, with the organisation punished with home-and-away bans. The club took measures opposed to the ultras organization for what it called “unacceptable behavior” that earned it heavy sanctions from UEFA.

However, the former Ibrox Dorrans midfielder believes the dangers may increase with the intervention of the Scottish football government. He said the SFA could simply monitor the Hoops’ next move amid the standoff between the two sides.

Dorrans told Go Radio: “I think in general, in any club, if there are regulations and rules to abide by and a club feels that a part of their supporters are not complying with them, then they will take action if there is evidence. It’s Rangers, Celtic, Aberdeen or whoever, if they don’t follow the rule and cause disorder when they play away games, combat marshals or whatever they’re accused of, action will be taken.

“I don’t know if this will result in a deduction for SFA issues, but it’s been going on for too long and I think we want to come together and put an end to this. “

Their expert and former Celtic star Andy Walker chimed in to explain that the governing framework could simply grant a deduction. He told the former Rangers player: “It’s an SFA issue. It would be an SPFL problem. “
