Chelsea’s new recruits, Hakim Ziyech and Ben Chilwell, would probably have to wait until they make their debut for the club, as they doubt a Premier League injury at Brighton on Monday 14 September.
Ziyech suffered a knee twist in a friendly opposite Brighton last weekend, while Chilwell suffered a heel injury when he signed for Leicester last month.
The Moroccan is almost out of the first Premier League match against the Seagulls, with his return date still unknown, while Chilwell is back in education but remains in doubt for the move to the south coast.
England’s foreigner began his education in Cobham this week, but was forced to do so alone due to injury, so it remains a way of being fit.
“I feel good,” Chilwell told Chelsea’s official online website last week.
“The injury heals a lot and I’ve done a lot of exercise over the last 4 or five weeks. “
Full-back Reece James is in doubt for the Premier League season opener of the season after fleeing from England’s Under-21 team this week due to injury.
It’s an idea to have only one chance and the 20-year-old will be gone for a long time, however, Frank Lampard has doubts on both sides of his back 4 as the season approaches.
Christian Pulisic is also recovering from a hamr tendon injury, leaving him in doubt for the Brighton, while Matthew Kovacic is sanctioned.
New recruits Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Thiago Silva can all appear.
