MILAN (AP) – New recruit Achraf Hakimi scored a goal and helped prepare two more when Inter Milan beat Benevento 5-2 in Serie A on Wednesday.
Romelu Lukaku scored twice and Roberto Gagliardini also scored in the first half while Inter was leading 4–1 in part time.
Substitute Lautaro Martínez crowned the score for Inter in the middle.
“The biggest source of satisfaction for a coach is that no matter who plays, the concept of the game doesn’t change. Inter returned the favor a short time later when goalkeeper Samir Handanovic threw the ball at Gianluca Caprari, who fired through the left squad.
Hakimi entered the scoring with 3 minutes to the end, as Lukaku can score through a Young center and Hakimi jumped to score his first Serie A goal.
Martinez entered ’65 and scored only six minutes later with a hard effort in the back corner.
Caprari scored comfort for Benevento soon after.
GLORIOUS GOMEZ
Alejandro “Papu” Gómez played for Atalanta with two goals.
Gomez scored one and prepared two in Saturday’s 4–2 win in Turin.
The Argentine midfielder did even better on Wednesday with goals in either time, at which point a sessed shot in the most sensible right corner.
Robin Gosens and Hans Hateboer scored Atalanta’s first two goals, and Felipe Caicedo gave Lazio a ray of hope in a time before Gomez’s moment goal.
SPEZIA’S FIRST WIN
Andrey Galabinov scored twice against Spezia 10-a-team in his first Serie A victory, a 2-0 win at Udinese.
Both had goals ruled before Galabinov opened the scoring in the 29th minute.
Spezia’s captain, Claudio Terzi, was ejected after a yellow card for a moment at 66, but Udinese could not count the man’s lead.
He pushed hard for the draw in extra time when Spezia responded and Galabinov sealed a memorable victory.
Spezia, newly promoted, for the first time in Serie A.
