The HCU Huskies have finished their 2024 conference-free schedule, according to their official athletics website.
HCU is set to open the 2024 season on the road against the SMU Mustangs on Saturday, Aug. 31 at Gerald J Stadium. Ford of Dallas, Texas. In their first meeting on the grid, SMU defeated HCU, then known as Houston. Baptist University, 63-27 in Dallas in 2018.
The Huskies are expected to open their home slate at Husky Stadium in Houston, Texas, on Saturday, Sept. 7 when they host the Tarleton State Texans. The two met for the first time on the grid last season in Stephenville, Texas, with the Texans winning 49-7.
HCU stayed home the following weekend, Saturday, Sept. 14, when it hosted the previously unannounced Louisiana Christian Wildcats. Intercollegiate Athletic Association (NAIA).
The Huskies are back on track for back-to-back matchups that will close their non-conference schedule in 2024. HCU is scheduled to make a stop at UTSA Roadrunners on Saturday, Sept. 21 before facing the Indiana State Sycamores. on Saturday, September 28. The contest against the state of Indiana had not been previously announced.
HCU is scheduled to open the 2023 season on Saturday, Sept. 2 at home against the Arkansas Baptist Buffaloes. The game is scheduled to start at 7:00 p. m. ET / 6:00 p. m. CONNECTICUT.
