Arsenal showed that Henrikh Mkhitaryan had joined Rome permanently after a successful loan period.
The Gunners terminated Mkhitaryan’s contract by mutual consent to allow him to register for Rome in a free transfer, as reported on the club’s official website.
Although he struggled to maintain consistency in his time at Arsenal, Mkhitaryan was quite impressive for Roma last season: he scored nine goals and gave six assists in 27 appearances.
