“He’s Electric” – Exclusive: Bent responds as Spurs open initial talks to flag PL Dazzler

Darren Bent believes the “electric” Demarai Gray could have a significant effect on Tottenham if he leaves Leicester City.

In statements to Russell Edge, assistant editor of Football Insider, former Spurs forwarder also warned that Ryan Sessegnon had moved to north London and was in trouble.

Football Insider revealed last week that Tottenham coach Jose Mourinho had had initial private conversations with Gray about a movement imaginable to the Spurs.

The latter revealed that Leicester had placed a value of 20 million pounds on the 24-year-old who entered into the last year of his contract at King Power Stadium.

The winger only 3 Premier League matches for Leicester last season, while he played 29 games in all competitions.

When asked through Football Insider if Mourinho can unlock something new for Gray, Bent said, “I’m a big fan of Demarai Gray, the only thing is its consistency. It’s never been consistent in a long time.

“It actually has something, you see that when you get the ball, it can make things happen and when you leave the bank it’s pretty electric.”

“Sometimes with Leicester with Marc Albrighton and Harvey Barnes, it’s pretty hard for him to take a place.

“I like it, but on the right side, where will you play?Actually, we haven’t noticed that (Ryan) Sessegnon plays, Lucas Moura plays there and they (Steven) Bergwijn.

“Listen, if you feel that he appreciates you and excites you and that you can attract him, I totally agree.”

In other news of Tottenham Hotspur, Dele asked to fend for himself after a primary development.
