Heung-min Son scored 4 times and Harry Kane had 4 assists and it was part of an ordinary game that saw Tottenham come back to beat Southampton 5-2.

After an overridden purpose for the team in the first half, Danny Ings gave the hosts a deserved lead in the 32nd minute after brilliantly catching Kyle Walker-Peters’ pass and completing Hugo Lloris’ low eaves.

The Spurs were starting to struggle, but they opposed the game’s march and came back into play just before noon after Kane threw an early ball at Son that shot Alex McCarthy into the Saints’ net.

Many might have predicted a consistent half-moment, but the Spurs instead made a fuss, with Southampton’s defense everywhere.

Son was given his moment just two minutes after the break when he walked away from his markers after Kane’s pass and ended up cold.

And the same duo who combined to watch Son finish his hat trick after a big chip pass allowed him to score again.

Surprisingly, they were not made there, because in the 73rd minute, Kane the supplier for the fourth time while his magnificent cross discovered Son defeating McCarthy.

And Kane, in spite of everything, received the purpose he deserved eight minutes after hitting the house when Erik Lamela hit the pole.

There is still time for Southampton to get past comfort thanks to an Ings penalty, but the setting will be remembered for two glorious individual performances.

The result allows the Spurs to move from their first-day home defeat to Everton, and they hope to gain momentum with three games to come next week.

They will face Leyton Orient in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, Macedonian Shkendija in the Europa League on Thursday and finally Newcastle in the Premier League on Sunday.
