With CCV back on the sidelines and Maik Nawrocki also absent, we lack politics in the central area of the backline.

Yesterday Stephen Welsh and Liam Scales showed who our central defensive duo is against Livingston and it turned out to be a comedy of errors. Or they’re players who give it their all, but without disrespect, they don’t have the quality we need. at the center of our defense.

Liam Scales has exceeded expectations this season, but betting on CCV is an important component and it’s fair to say he looks lost without him. While Stephen Welsh is a team player and nothing more, similar to Anthony Ralston. Both play when mandatory and you can be sure of a 100 percent commitment.

Yesterday Scales and the Welshman looked very normal and battled against a team rooted at the back of the table, and that tells its own story. In the meantime, Gustav Lagerbielke, don’t you forget? A Swedish foreigner and member of the Allsvenskan. Leaving the best-rated defenders on the bench is beyond comprehension.

Brendan Rodgers is studying and watching it more than any of us, but it really can’t get any worse than what we have now. After all, the club blocked his loan to Italy in the January window due to a lack of coverage. Why not play it? It’s one of many decisions Brendan Rodgers has made this season.

The last time Celtic were at Ibrox, we had Scales and Lagerbielke as a centre-back pairing in the 1-0 win last September. It’s about to happen again, right?
