See. There’s no explanation why a professional player can’t laugh at the ballpark. Who else is laughing in the backyard lately? The Padres. Geinke allowed three runs in six innings, leaving the game tied, but the Padres won a bomb in eight innings of Manny Machado to take out the Astros, 5-3, to win their seventh consecutive game.

Thomas remained out of practice on Saturday and, according to reports, several Ravens teammates went to control to request that Thomas be eliminated from the team. Rumoured to be the Ravens looking for Thomas’ industry, however, any team would wait for him to be dismissed because Baltimore has no way of moving a defiant player to the locker room.

Thomas, 31, is six-time Pro Bowler and four-time First-team All-Pro, most commonly with the Seahawks, but he decided on the Pro Bowl with the Ravens in 2019, recording 49 tackles, two interceptions, a forced loose ball and two catches in 15 games played.

How the hard ones fall. However, Thomas will be hired in the NFL somewhere in 2020. There’s no doubt about that. – Beto

THE CAPS SEND A REIRDEN PACKAGE

Sunday, August 23: The Capitals fired head coach Todd Reirden on Sunday, bringing out the team’s inability to meet the organization’s top expectations:

Reirden was hired to upgrade Barry Trotz in 2018 after Trotz took the Capitals to their first Stanley Cup title, then resigned as head coach with the Islanders.

Reirden, a former assistant coach of the Penguins 2010-14, led the Capitals to the most sensible of the Metropolitan Division in their two seasons at the helm, compiling an 89-46-16 record, however, the Caps were eliminated in the first. playoffs in 2019 and 2020, not well enough for a superstar team that just won the Stanley Cup. – Beto

CERVELLI ON CONCUSSION

Sunday, August 23: The Marlins placed open receiver Francisco Cervelli in IL’s 7-day concussion on Saturday, the eighth concussion documented in his primary league career.

– MLB Trade Rumors (@mlbtraderumors) August 23, 2020

The former pirate fan favorite was hit in the head with a bat at the start of the first game of a doubles game on Saturday against the Nationals. Cervelli signed a one-year, $2 million contract with the Marlins by 2020. In 14 games, he cut Array250 /.361/.462 with 3 houses and seven RBIs in 52 at-bats.

Personally, I couldn’t be more concerned about Cervelli’s long-term health. It’s not my decision, of course, but that’s enough. – Beto

What can be as impressive as the team’s recent Grand Slam play-off (they set an MLB record this week by beating four games in a row) is the fact that they have laid the ground so many times. Just a ridiculous offense. – Beto

STAMKOS ISN’T READY YET

Saturday, August 22: The Lightning showed that they will begin with their Eastern Conference semifinal captain, Steven Stamkos Middle and Double All-Star due to a lower body injury.

Stamkos did not play in the qualifying tournament and did not play in the opening series against the Blue Jackets. He suffered an abdominal muscle injury that required surgery in March, but has yet to return to full education for Tampa Bay, is in the bubble and has participated in strength play exercises.

The Lightning welcomes the Bruins in Game 1 on Sunday at 8 p.m. I think Head coach Jon Cooper would like it to be on the ice for what promises to be a very tight series, however, those things can’t be rushed and the Lightning is in no danger with their health. – Beto
